The Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Koshanov, held a meeting with co-founder of Astana Open Dialogue and a member of the Public Chamber, Aibek Kumysbekov.
During the meeting, both sides discussed issues related to regional policy and the development of single-industry towns. Aibek Kumysbekov emphasized the need for engaging various societal groups through social dialogue, public forums, and round tables to strengthen social stability.
Additionally, Aibek Kumysbekov presented ideas to improve the quality of national budget planning. He proposed expanding the composition of the commission by involving members of the Supreme Audit Chamber and Members of Parliament.
Special attention was given to aspects such as the implementation of artificial intelligence in legislative activities, the development of human capital, and the improvement of the compulsory social health insurance system.
Yerlan Koshanov and Aibek Kumysbekov also discussed prospects for cooperation between Mazhilis members and representatives of the expert community within the framework of the Public Chamber and ongoing work on legislative initiatives.
