Co-founder of the independent analytical platform Astana Open Dialogue, Alexandr Danilov, has been elected as a member of the Kurultai of the Republic of Kazakhstan from the “Adilet” party following the elections held on August 23, 2026.
Alexandr Danilov has extensive experience in public administration, public and political communications, youth policy, and civil society development. He began his professional career in the non-governmental sector, where he headed youth organizations, and later held senior positions in the private sector.
For many years, he has also been engaged in consulting, developing his own agency specializing in government relations (GR) and international relations (IR).
Alexandr Danilov is a member of the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve. He also served as a member of the Public Chamber under the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Council of Public Trust under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2022, Alexandr Danilov was appointed Vice Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In this position, he oversaw youth policy, cooperation between the government and civil society, social development, and information policy.
In November 2025, he was appointed Secretary of the AMANAT party. In this role, he was responsible for ideological and information and media work, engagement with young people and civil society organizations, and participated in the implementation of social and public and political projects.
For his contribution to the country’s socio-economic development and to strengthening the rule of law and public order, Alexandr Danilov was awarded the “Eren Enbegi Ushin” Medal. Together with the other co-founders of Astana Open Dialogue, he was also awarded the commemorative medal “30 Years of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.
