Co-founder of Astana Open Dialogue, Aibek Kumysbekov, took part in the presentation of the collective monograph by the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies (KISI) «2023 Maslikhat Elections: Features and Trends»

The monograph systematizes and analyzes a large volume of data on the recent maslikhat elections. In his speech, Aibek Kumysbekov emphasized the labor-intensive nature of the work and recalled the experience of Marat Shibutov, who independently collected data from various sources while analyzing the first elections of rural akims.
«Such analytical work is very complex. For researchers and political scientists, this source of information has a great importance. I believe that representatives of political parties should also study it and use it in their work. I thank the authors for their efforts in gathering and analyzing the information», — Kumysbekov emphasized.
During the discussion, it was noted that Astana Open Dialogue considers the study and analysis of regional policy at both national and regional levels as one of its priority areas.
