Alexandr Danilov, co-founder of the independent analytical platform Astana Open Dialogue, has been included in the Adilet Party’s list of candidates for the elections to the Kurultai of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scheduled for 23 August 2026.
Alexandr Danilov has extensive experience in public administration, socio-political communications, youth policy, and civil society development. He began his professional career in the public sector, led youth organisations, and held senior positions in private-sector organisations.
Alexandr Danilov is a member of the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve. He also served as a member of the Public Chamber under the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Council of Public Trust under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2022, Alexandr Danilov was appointed Vice Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In this role, he oversaw youth policy, cooperation between the state and civil society, public development, and information policy.
In November 2025, Alexandr Danilov was appointed Secretary of the AMANAT Party. As part of his party responsibilities, he oversaw ideological and media-related work, engagement with young people and public organisations, and participated in the implementation of social and socio-political projects.
For his contribution to the country’s socio-economic development and the strengthening of law and public order, Alexandr Danilov was awarded the “Eren enbegi ushin” Medal. Together with the other co-founders of Astana Open Dialogue, he also received the jubilee medal “30 Years of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.
Alexandr Danilov’s participation in the elections provides an opportunity to apply his extensive experience in government, public affairs, and management to legislative work. His expertise in youth policy, public communications, and cooperation between the state and civil society may contribute to the development of practical solutions that address the current needs of society.
