Astana Open Dialogue welcomed to its office a delegation from the Embassy of the United Kingdom in the Republic of Kazakhstan, including Her Excellency Sally Axworthy, Ambassador of the United Kingdom, and Mr. Samuel Mills, Head of the Political Section of the Embassy.
During the visit, the Ambassador was introduced to the activities of the analytical platform Astana Open Dialogue, its key research areas, and international projects. Particular attention was given to the platform’s expert work. The Ambassador highlighted the importance of expert discussions in strengthening dialogue on current issues.
The discussion underscored the importance of close engagement with the expert community in order to develop a comprehensive analytical perspective and to foster open and constructive dialogue among government institutions, think tanks, and international partners.
The both sides also discussed issues on the current regional and international agenda and expressed mutual interest in developing joint initiatives and further expanding cooperation.
