  • KAI FU LEE
    CEO of Sinovation Ventures, 01.ai
«Have a national AI strategy. I think Kazakhstan has a good one. What matters most in such strategies is setting measurable goals – audacious, yet achievable»
  • EBTESAM AL-MAZROUEI
ITU Advisor, Head of the AI for Good Initiative (UN)
«Kazakhstan has invested heavily in its H2 100 computer cluster. For the country to build ethical governance and safety assurance, people need to understand the technology and trust it. To create ethical rules or guardrails for citizens and developers, people must understand the technology, know how to test it, and know how to use it not only across sectors but also for the benefit of society»
  • PAUL KIM
Associate Dean of the Stanford Graduate School of Education
«Those who understand human values will be better AI designers in the future, and we need many more of them»
  • PRADEEP KHOSLA
Chancellor of the University of California, San Diego
«Training a person with AI is a new generation of intelligent tutors that can train people, customize learning based on their needs, likes, and dislikes, and build specialized tutors as people learn. This will create a new, more competent workforce»
  • KATARZYNA WAWIERNIA
    Resident Reppresentative, UNDP Kazakhstan
«Without proper governance, AI can multiply existing inequalities, destroy jobs without creating new opportunities, and concentrate benefits in a few developed countries and large corporations that lead in AI»
  • AZAMAT AMRIN
Vice Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan
«There must be responsibility not only from the state to taxpayers regarding the provision of services. But also the responsibility from taxpayers themselves in adhering to tax legislation. This includes the timely and full payment of taxes»
  • AIDOS SARYM
    Member of the Mazhilis
    of the Parliament
    of the Republic of Kazakhstan
    of the VIII convocation
«It’s better to have an open market. We will know who our counterparties are and understand their deepest interests. We will comprehend their economics, and then the cost of the issue will be clear»
  • ERKIN ABIL
    Member of the Mazhilis
    of the Parliament of Kazakhstan
    of the VIII convocation
«Fairness is the measure of alignment between actions and outcomes—that is, what we do and the response we receive. If we operate within the same system of coordinates—be it a single state, legal framework, economic, social, or, most importantly, a shared set of moral and ethical principles—then fairness remains universal»
  • AIBEK SMADIYAROV
    Director of the
    Communications Department
of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
    of the Republic of Kazakhstan
«Fighting windmills is pointless. I think it's better to create our own agenda. And our internal agenda is getting more and more exciting»
  • AYBAR DAUTOV
Chairman of the Board of the "Tau-Ken Kazakhstan" Association
«It is important to acknowledge that natural resources have been and remain the foundation of our economic strength. Strategically, neither the IT sector nor domestic tourism will play a significant role in the global division of labor or in the broader national context»
  • EKATERINA SMYSHLYAEVA
    Member of the Mazhilis
    of the Parliament of Kazakhstan
    of the VIII convocation
«In the near future, managing natural resources will require only a few people focused on policy-making. Processes like access to resources, auctions, tenders, field monitoring, and development will increasingly be handled through information systems and the Internet of Things»
  • ANTON KIM
    Marketing Director at ForteBank
«Essentially, every click, every bit of attention is monetized through marketing on platforms like Meta and TikTok. Everything in this field is built on the money involved. It seems to me that a lot is currently being done in the country to foster the growth of creative industries»
  • AITUAR KOSHMAMBETOV
Member of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan of the VIII convocation
«The point of subsidies is not to become just a drug for entrepreneurs. The point is to support businesses during their formation and growth stages»
  • SUKHROB KHOJIMATOV
    Deputy Resident Representative,
    UNDP Kazakhstan
«Almaty and Astana are a step ahead of other regions in terms of the creative industry, not because of the direct functioning of infrastructure there, but primarily due to their institutional potential. The most important thing is the institutional potential. Therefore, we always prioritize the Human Development Index, which is high in Kazakhstan»
  • KUANYSH ZHAIKOV
Head of the DESHT Institutional Transformation Group
«The main problem with the state, I will consider it from an economic perspective, is its involvement in areas where it shouldn't interfere while neglecting those it should. This creates a fundamental conflict»
  • GAZIZ ABISHEV
    Political scientist
«In civil society, censorship occurs when entire groups, led by activists, engage in bullying, persecuting, silencing, and destroying objectionable opinion. This is a disease of our society. We have entered a state of schizophrenia, where certain narratives are promoted across various divisions in our society»
  • ELENA BYCHKOVA
    Managing Director of the Association
of Legal Entities «Association of Digital Kazakhstan»

  • DANIYAR KOSNAZAROV
    Narxoz University President Advisor
«How will we consume and accept new, innovative ideas from the world if our dominant language, for instance, remains primarily kazakh? Are we keeping pace with global developments, adopting these ideas, and effectively localizing them? And what unique contributions can our identity offer to the world?»
